Two of the biggest Microsoft Dynamics service providers in North America, Socius and SBS Group, announced today that they are coming together to form a new firm, Velosio.

Characterized as a "strategic combination" by the executive team, Velosio will operate as a single business in 2018 with the full resources of both companies. The new company will maintain the two firms' reseller relationships with vendors beyond Microsoft like Sage and Netsuite. In the Microsoft channel, they will serve as a direct partner to  clients as well as an indirect services firm in the Microsoft channel through its Master VAR and Indirect Cloud Solution Provider (ICSP) programs.

The Velosio executive team includes James Bowman, president and CEO of SBS Group, as chief revenue officer and chairman; Jeff Geisler, CEO of Socius as CEO; and Joe Longo, COO of SBS Group, as COO. Geisler said of the new company's vision:

"We have a unique opportunity to create an organization that has over three hundred employees, eighty million dollars in revenue, and over four thousand clients, and to do that while maintaining our independence. It makes us unique, that we can service [mid-market] clients that are like us, helping them deploy the right technology. We will bring in our own offerings and [those of] our vendor partners to help them grow businesses that are no different than ours."

Velosio's offerings in the Microsoft Dynamics space will cover the full range of products. The company will now have likely the largest Dynamics GP and SL customer base in North America, as well as a larger combined practice for Dynamics 365 (a.k.a., AX and CRM) and NAV. Their Microsoft offerings will also include Office 365 and Azure services.
