Retail Realm, Cayan Team To Integrate Genius, Microsoft Dynamics POS Products

Retail business software developer and distributor Retail Realm has announced its integration to Cayan's Genius platform, a cloud-based payments solution that mitigates the business challenges associated with integrating payment to the point of sale (POS).

The new integration, which will debut at NRF "Retail's BIG Show" held in New York City from January 17-20, will allow Microsoft Dynamics partners to "offset security concerns, offer a completely EMV-compliant system, enable additional payment types, and create a more engaging customer interaction at the point of sale," officials said.

The Genius platform provides POS developers and businesses with solutions to help them mitigate the issues associated with integrating and accepting new types of payment. In addition to latest standard for chip card payments (EMV), Genius supports near field communications-based mobile payments, QR/barcode payments, as well as credit and debit card transactions that can be manually entered or swiped, according to officials.

Eliminating the need for multiple hardware components like auxiliary PIN pads and pole displays, Cayan's Genius platform integrates into Retail Realm's complete product line, officials said.

Cayan is one of over 20 payment processing integrations provided by Retail Realm. Retail Realm's RR mAX solution, through various payment gateways and direct processors, integrates Dynamics AX and all of the Microsoft Dynamics point-of-sales solutions to all of the major credit card  processors including First Data Merchant Services, ChasePaymentech, American Express, Global Payment, Heartland, WorldPay, BancTek, Vantiv, Moneris, TYSYS, and many others, Rachel Smith, Retail Realm's director of sales in North America, said in an email
