Nodus Technologies Adds Secure Storage Capability for Credit Card Processing with Dynamics GP

Electronic payment and business automation solution provider Nodus Technologies Inc. has launched a tokenization option for its card processing application, Credit Card Advantage, for the Microsoft Dynamics GP market, which will allow customers to either manage credit card information in a PA-DSS (Payment Application Data Security Standards) environment within their IT infrastructure or store them off-site in a facility that's PCI (payment card industy) compliant, the company said.

"Choosing the right solution for credit card processing needs is ever more challenging for Dynamics GP users. With Nodus Tokenization technology, we offer our customers the option to store their customers' sensitive credit card information in a PCI compliant off-site facility." said Donte Kim, President of Nodus Technologies, Inc., in a statement.

Because of the growing concern over the cybertheft of massive amounts of sensitive credit card information annually, the payment industry formed a data security council to adopt Visa's PABP (Payment Application Best Practices) security initiatives, and mandate that all electronic payment applications with credit card processing must meet PA-DSS to guard against the cybertheft of data.

As of July 1, 2010, Visa is no longer allowing the financial institutions that provide merchant account services to sign up merchant accounts for companies who use payment applications that are not in compliance with these security standards. Nodus officials said all businesses accepting credit card payments must be PCI compliant, or risk being subject to hefty fines.

Nodus officials said the company developed its tokenization technology using PayPal's Payflow Payment Gateway's secured infrastructure for the storage of critical credit card information, making it easier for small and medium enterprises comply with the latest payment data security standards.
