New Release: Connector for Microsoft Dynamics V2 RU2 Enhances Maps, Resolves Key Issues
Microsoft has just released Connector for Microsoft Dynamics V2 RU2, which includes enhanced maps, new features across all Dynamics ERP products, and specific features for Dynamics GP and NAV. RU2 also resolves some of the key issues they might be facing with their RU 1 deployments.
Connector for Microsoft Dynamics synchronizes the types of data that are common to both Dynamics CRM and ERP software, such as customer, contact, and sales order information. It is reportedly used by at least 500 Dynamics customers currently.
Features of the new release across ERPs include:
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM Duplicate detection rules are now better supported on child entities as well as on parent entities so the likelihood of duplicate records getting into your system is decreased.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM Duplicate detection rules are now supported on entities that reference other entities within Microsoft Dynamics CRM, reducing the likelihood of duplicate records getting into your system.
- Data that has leading zeros in it (for example "000123") no longer has the leading zeros removed during transformation.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 child entities that appear in the log have their unique key listed in the "Key" column and the value of their primary attribute is also listed. This makes it easier to troubleshoot integration errors within Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011.
- Documentation has been updated to include more detail on how each map functions and the assumptions that they make about your data. This improves your upfront costing when you're evaluating Connector for Microsoft Dynamics.
