Microsoft Dynamics GP expert Mark Polino is out with a "cookbook" about his favorite subject-how users can maximize their effectiveness with the latest release, GP 2010.

The new book, Microsoft Dynamics: GP 2010 Cookbook, promises to improve users' "efficiency with the Dynamics GP system," according to the publisher, Packt Publishing, and is now available for pre-order.

Polino is also a columnist with MSDynamicsWorld.com, and has written here about GP 2010.

Among the lessons the book provides are: how to create and run macros; how to activate hidden features, how to improve usability by hacking the system, and how to leverage the powerful SmartList feature.

The book begins with recipes designed to enhance the usefulness of Microsoft Dynamics GP by personalizing the look and feel of the application. Most of the recipes are designed to give tips for a typical installation of Dynamics GP, including core financials and distribution modules. The book then moves through recipes that include automating Dynamics GP to allow users or administrators to focus on value adding tasks, connecting Dynamics GP to Microsoft Office 2007, and exposing hidden features in Dynamics GP.

According to Polino, "All the recipes are real-world tested and designed to be used immediately." He will be speaking about Dynamics GP at Decisions 2010, the upcoming virtual conference put together by MSDynamicsWorld.com.
