Microsoft Dynamics SL 2015 has been released, the company announced today.

"This release builds on the solid momentum we've seen since launching Microsoft Dynamics SL Web Apps earlier this year and supports the cloud and mobile needs of our SMB customers," wrote Gordon Macdonald in a new blog post.

New web apps were introduced earlier in 2014 for Dynamics SL 2011 cumulative update 1 and they got favorable reviews from professionals. With SL 2015, the list of apps now includes: Project Time Entry, Project Expense Entry, Project Approvals, Project Maintenance, Project Analyst and Quick Query features.

SL 2015 web apps now replace Business Portal features, according to Macdonald.

Other enhancements include project multi-company and multi-currency support, improved financial reporting, receivables invoice preview, automatic 1099 vendor backup withholdings, and Azure hosting support.

By some accounts, SL 2015 was a challenging release to complete. Despite a range of popular new features, stability concerns had reportedly been serious enough to impact field consultants' ability to use beta releases as recently as a month ago.
