Disable self-purchase services

Writing on his blog, Michael Roth explained why self-service purchases can disrupt your governance strategy and how to use PowerShell to turn off this feature to ensure you stay in control of your tenant.

He wrote that self-service purchasing lets users buy Microsoft products and services, such as Power BI Pro or Power Platform licenses on their own without needing approval from an admin. However, Roth pointed out that it comes with some serious risks, which he explained in his blog.

Roth stated that turning off self-service purchasing helps you stay in control of licenses by keeping approvals, tracking, and support organized. But before deciding, he noted that it’s important to know which products allow self-service and if it’s something you even need to manage.

In his blog post, Roth explained how to use PowerShell to disable self-purchase services.

Creating custom data views in canvas apps with Power Fx functions

On the Inogic blog, Sam Kumar wrote that while building a canvas app in Power Apps, the team needed to automate tax calculations, which would usually involve creating a calculated field in Dataverse.
