Power Fx: User-defined types generally available
On the Microsoft Power Platform Blog, Greg Lindhorst wrote that starting with Power Apps Studio version 3.26044, user-defined types (UDTs) are turned on automatically for new apps.
He stated that enhanced component properties, user-defined functions (UDFs), and user-defined types are now fully available for production use. These features help developers break large, important apps into smaller, easier-to-manage sections that are more reliable and easier to maintain.
Lindhorst noted that because UDTs and UDFs are now generally available, you can safely use them in production apps. They can help simplify formulas and reduce errors, especially when working with JSON data.
He explained that UDTs are created in the app object's formulas property using the Type and RecordOf functions. They are also used with UDFs and functions such as ParseJSON, AsType, and IsType.
In his post, Lindhorst provided detailed information about UDTs.
Agent governance, intelligent workflows, and connected app experiences
On the Microsoft Copilot Studio Blog, Nitasha Chopra wrote that as organizations increase their use of AI agents, IT teams face a major challenge: how to expand automation while keeping control.
