Microsoft offers up Azure deployment guidance for Dynamics NAV 2013 to partners
The Microsoft Dynamics NAV team is catching up with their Window Azure counterparts by releasing documentation for partners on selling and deploying Dynamics NAV 2013 on Azure Infrastructure Services.
Dynamics NAV MVP Eric Wauters is the first we've seen to publicize the available content, which seems to be restricted to partners and includes a range of business development materials as well as several "how-to" resources on Azure-related topics like provisioning for single and multi-server configurations and automating provisioning.
The official Dynamics NAV team blog has not yet posted any information on this development.
At Convergence 2013, Microsoft Dynamics executives stated that June was the target timeframe to formally launch Azure deployments. There has been a known TAP program for NAV 2013 in Azure since late 2012.
Wauters notes in his blog post that he has been playing around with NAV 2013 on Azure already and has had good results with his testing, though it sounds like it was without any guidance or support from Microsoft. "Finally, I'll be able to confirm if I've been doing it the right way," he writes.
So, with Azure deployment support now presumably on its way to market, and Sicily release training already ramping up, should we begin watching for guidance at WPC 2013 on plans for true multi-tenant NAV in the cloud?
