Microsoft MVP Mark Polino Celebrates Ten Years of Dynamics GP Blogging With New Round of Projects

On September 9, Microsoft Dynamics MVP Mark Polino celebrates 10 years of blogging about Dynamics GP on DynamicAccounting.net. Rather than sitting back to appreciate his work over the last decade, the anniversary date will serve as an opportunity for Polino to launch a new reporting product and to give us a free Kindle download of his most recent work of fiction, Death From Above. And there is still more to come after the anniversary festivities are over, he has promised.

Polino has established himself as one of the hardest working members of the GP community. He has created dozens of educational presentations, written books, articles (including an impressive body of work on MSDynamicsWorld.com), created professional certification standards for Dynamics GP, and, of course, maintained a GP blog.

To get some perspective on the ten year blogging milestone and the evolution of the GP community, as well as to learn more about his new reporting solution, we threw Mark a few questions via email.

MSDW: You began blogging about Dynamics GP when blogging was still fairly new and GP was still a young product at Microsoft. What do you remember about the product and community in those days that has changed?

Polino: When I started blogging there were 2 or 3 other inconsistent bloggers. Duke del Prado was one; he has since moved on to other products. Richard Whaley was another and he passed away last year. It was hard to find Dynamics GP info then. There weren't a lot of books and it was difficult ...
