Microsoft Launches Sure Step Online for Dynamics Partners

by Linda Rosencrance
Contributing Writer, MSDW

Microsoft announced the launch of Sure Step Online for its Dynamics products so partners can more easily access shared resources. The release of Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step Online is the first step of a long-term architectural change moving away from the current 400MB client download for each language to a Silverlight application available on Partner Source and Customer Source, according to this blog post.

Sure Step Online lets users view the latest guidance and content available online and in multiple languages without having to download and install the client, according to the company.

The benefits of moving away from a local client include:

  • Having the ability to introduce new content or update existing content real-time
  • Having the ability to point users to a specific guidance page or template, eliminating the need for them to download the whole methodology to locate the specific content/guidance.

Sure Step is a standard implementation methodology and collection of tools, templates, and best practices that Microsoft Dynamics partners can use when they implement the products for their customers. Dynamics Sure Step also offers many process flow diagrams that visually illustrate each phase of the implementation.

Dynamics Sure Step can help partners be more productive by providing them with an enhanced set of best practices and extendable templates that support collaboration with other partners, provide more project predictability, and improve their customers' satisfaction with their Microsoft Dynamics solutions.

The features available in the first release of Sure Step Online include:
