Microsoft extends availability of Advanced Management licenses for Dynamics GP 2010, NAV 2009

Microsoft informed its Dynamics NAV and GP partners earlier this month that it has decided to keep NAV 2009 and GP 2010 Advanced Management editions of Business Ready Licensing (BRL) available through June 2014 for both new and existing customers.

The Business Essentials edition is not included in this extension and, as such, will no longer be available for new customers after 30 November 2013, Microsoft explained on PartnerSource.

Claus Søager Helth, reporting on this development on the Partner Power International blog, explained that this change is good news for companies deploying NAV 2009 in multiple countries, who now have more time to complete such deployments, and can schedule deployments through to the new availability deadline. He wrote:

"While the new Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 version is clearly an attractive version, the experience is that the nature of international projects indeed requires the ability to deploy their CORE-solution in several countries over time, and I am are therefore glad that Microsoft has recognized and changed the initial plans for availability for Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009."

Søager Helth also explained that, beyond these dates, existing customers can still add users and functionality to existing licenses, so these recent changes only apply to purchasing new licenses.  Here is a matrix Microsoft used to explain the availability:
