Microsoft Dynamics Profile: Behind AX MVP Antonio Gilabert’s curiosity and community mindset

Antonion GilabertMicrosoft Dynamics AX MVP Antonio Gilabert has been working with the application since 2006, first getting his feet wet with version 3.0, what he still calls one of the most reliable ERP releases he has worked with.

Since then, Gilabert, who hails from Madrid, Spain, started his own consulting company, Ax3 Group, and still sees Dynamics AX as a source of continuous learning. He was first recognized as a Microsoft MVP two years ago.

"I have run my own company for five years and have managed all aspects of sales, marketing, operations and financial matters," he said. "My company has nine people and we don't have different departments so I have to do pre-sales and do proposals. And if we get the project, I have to organize it. But my professional expertise is focused on Dynamics AX."

When it comes to Dynamics AX, Gilabert is always learning. And he modifies a quote by author David T. Freeman to sum up his feelings.

"The more you know AX, the more you realize how much you don't know - the less you know, the more you think you know," he said. "That's totally true with my experience. I've worked for nine years with AX and it's a more complete product and you need to know more about the technology."
