Tribal acquires Crimson Consultants to offer UK student recruitment and business engagement solution

Tribal, a provider of software and services to the international education market, has acquired Crimson Consultants Ltd. Crimson is a UK-based provider of education-focused CRM software aimed at helping educational institutions to improve student recruitment and business engagement.

Crimson will become Tribal's CRM solutions business and Crimson's directors and senior management team will join Tribal to lead that business, according to officials of the companies. Crimson has been working in the education sector for over 10 years and offers a range of accelerators that utilize the CRM capabilities of Dynamics 365 to create a cloud-based, education-ready "student relationship management" solution.

"The acquisition of Crimson provides our current customers with complementary functionality and delivers to our vision of empowering the end-to-end student lifecycle," said Mark Pickett, Tribal's CEO, in a statement.

Dooap, an accounts payable (AP) automation provider for Dynamics environments, has appointed software industry veteran Mikko Hytonen as its new CEO. Hytonen succeeds Antti Kosunen, co-founder of Dooap and its parent company, Efima, who will be directing Dooap’s business development.

In his new role, Hytonen will be responsible for overall strategy and operations, including expanding the Dooap team, growing the customer base, and continuing to develop technology and services to address customer demand, according to company officials.
