Microsoft Dynamics NAV team explains cash management plans for NAV 2013 R2

Ever since the revelation at WPC 2013 that NAV Sicily would become NAV 2013 R2, with a planned release in late 2013, the NAV team has basically gone silent on the topic of the new release. That's not to say they've been quiet overall - they have been steadily putting out content on design patterns, update rollups 4 and 5, the Management Pack for System Center, and more posts, all focused on current and past NAV releases.

But this week they added their first new discussion on NAV 2013 R2, looking at Cash Management

They write in the new blog post: "Our SMB customers need more support for basic cash management processes; therefore, we are increasing our focus on cash management in the coming releases of Microsoft Dynamics NAV - beginning with Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013 R2."

Cash management was, in fact, right at the top of the list of features the Dynamics NAV team listed on their roadmap at WPC 2013:

New bank integration functionality will support two scenarios - bank reconciliation and automated payments.

The other main area of cash management is around support for SEPA, the Single Euro Payments Area.  From the blog:
