Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016: How to Configure the Phone Client

On his NAV blog, Saurav Dhyani talks about how to connect Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 with the phone client. Dhyani post offers the steps for an Android phone because that's the phone he has.

He said he's doing it with all the tiers on his Windows 8 machine and while the steps are the same for multiple servers, the issues may be a bit different. Before you start, you have to ensure that the Service Tier is on a public IP. He said some of the data cards don't provide you with a Public IP, so you should check to be sure.

The first think you need is a certificate to connect the Navision Service Tier using the NAV user password. You can find out how to do that and ultimately learn how to configure the phone client here.
