How to Export a Dynamics NAV Database on SQL Server 2016
On the Dynamics NAV Team Blog, Kennie Nybo Pontoppidan stated that if you use SQL Server 2016 for your Dynamics NAV database, and have to export a database to the .bacpac format, you must ensure that you're running the latest update (August 2016 update or later) of the Microsoft SQL Server Data-Tier Application Framework (DacFx) or SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
Pontoppidan then explained the reason behind the recommendation. He said the team found a bug in Dynamics NAV. However, after analyzing the impacts of the bug on customers and partners, they discovered it wasn't actually a bug in NAV, but rather a bug but in the tools around SQL Server.
The story even has a happy ending, not to mention some Windows PowerShell bonus information, he stated.

Using Dynamics NAV to Report Unclaimed Property
On the ArcherPoint blog, Alan Lyczkowski stated that Dynamics NAV is a great tool to help users identify and prepare Excel files of any unclaimed property in the form of uncleared accounts payable checks and accounts receivable credit balance.
Users can also easily identify any accounts receivable credit balances by using NAV's filtering capabilities, he added.
