Microsoft Dynamics GP professional and blogger Mariano Gomez shares a brief update on the newest GP roadmap, shared with users at the GPUG Summit 2011 last week.

Microsoft Dynamics GP Roadmap

As the furthest release out on the roadmap in 2016, GP ‘15' includes some pretty general plans like "Rapid Time-to-Value" and "Dynamics User Experience Leadership".  Accelerated deployment will begin in earnest in GP ‘12' with inclusion of RapidStart Services in Azure.  RapidStart has so far been rolled out only for some parts of Dynamics AX 2012, but officials have already confirmed it will available for the Dynamics NAV 7 release in late 2012 as well.

With a long term commitment to leading in user experience, one has to wonder about future of the GP 12 Silverlight interface.  We've seen a commitment to HTML 5 on the Dynamics CRM side, and several third party Dynamics NAV web clients have already shown the way forward with putting an HTML and AJAX-drive web front end on to Dynamics ERP.
