Preventing users from using GP until login has completed

On David Musgrave's Winthrop Development Consultants Blog, Musgrave stated that recently there was a thread on the Dynamics GP community forum commenting on the fact that there were too many menu choices showing after logging in. Although this is standard behavior for GP and not a bug, it still confuses some users.

When you log into Microsoft Dynamics GP, it starts with all of the menu items showing and enabled. Then after login, a background process runs and disables and hides the menus based on the security settings of the current user and company.

In his blog post, Musgrave talked about the problem and offered a solution as well as a better solution.
