Fixed asset valuation changes in Dynamics GP
An author writing on Bond Consulting Services blog offered instructions on how to change the value of an asset already put into service in Microsoft Dynamics GP. The author suggested having a SQL Server database backup of the company database that you will be working on as well as have a data base administrator or IT person help you with this process.
The author stated that before you begin, you should be prepared to run the steps after running the GL posting routine. That will clear out any GL activities that may get rolled into the GL entries created by these next steps. From there, the author listed the steps necessary to change the value of an asset already put into service.
Dynamics GP email – login failed error
Writing on her blog, Jen Kuntz noted that one of her clients had recently merged with another firm. Part of that merger involved giving everyone new email addresses for a new web domain. For most users of email functionality in Dynamics GP, the process was seamless. However, one user was stuck in an endless loop of "login failed: check your login information and try again."
