Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 set for December 1 release as cycles become more fluid

Microsoft Dynamics GP 2015 is scheduled for release on December 1 according to GP product team leaders.  The release will continue the product's six month release cadence that started with the release of GP 2013 R2 earlier in 2014.

Dynamics GP product development manager Jeff Trosen and product marketing manager Errol Schoenfish confirmed the release roadmap on Wednesday at GPUG Summit. The next two releases could be named GP 2015 R1 and GP 2015 R2, according to Trosen.

Trosen also announced the availability of Business Analyzer for both iPad and Android. The iPad app had been on the Business Analyzer roadmap since at least early 2014 and was released on September 24 according to its iTunes page. The Google Play store doesn't appear to have published the Android app as of the time of posting this piece.

One of the newest updates to the tablet-based reporting tool is the ability to publish Management Reporter reports to the tablet tool for viewing by users.

rosen and Schoenfish jointly delivered a presentation that covered a broad range of the new features that GP 2015 will introduce. The Service Based Architecture, one of the major elements of the new release, will enable the GP team to create new device-based experiences for users, they said.
