Microsoft Dynamics ERP R&D leadership now split between Erik Tiden and Dan Brown

With Hal Howard's departure from Microsoft Business Solutions, Microsoft Dynamics ERP R&D leadership responsibilities will now be split between two managers - Dan Brown for AX and Erik Tiden for Dynamics GP, NAV, and SL, or what Microsoft refers to as the SMB ERP products.
Brown and Tiden first crossed paths two years ago in September 2012 when Brown left his role as GM of NAV R&D, handing off the role to Tiden. Tiden joined Microsoft with many years of business software experience. He had served in executive roles at HP and SAP, where he held the title of General Manager and Global Head of Custom Development. Before that, Tiden was Senior Vice President for SAP CRM Development, responsible for the software development of SAP's award winning CRM 7.0 product.
"Dan has been with Microsoft since 2002 and has held various leadership roles through his career at the company, most recently working as one of the key leaders on the Msft Dynamics AX team, so this was a natural move for him," according to a Microsoft spokesperson.
