Dynamics 365/AX book authorsThe authors of Microsoft Dynamics AX Implementation Guide and Implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, have launched a fundraiser to back a clean water project for the Indian village of Kotambi. To lead the way, they will also be donating book earnings to the cause.

JJ Yadav, Rahul Mohta and Yogesh Kasat, have started a GoFundMe campaign to raise the money for the project. The trio has joined the Social Networking Forum (SNF), an Indian NGO, in their efforts to overcome the water crisis for Kotambi villagers.

"Rahul, JJ and I met at AXUG last year, [and] during our celebration, one of the goals we decided was to give back to the community from the proceeds of the book sale," Kasat stated in an interview via emali. "As we celebrated the Indian festival, Holi, earlier this month, a lot of water and colors are used and it was good reminder to get the ‘clean water' project in action."

Kotambi is small village (population 900) that sits atop a mountain about 70 kilometers from Nashik, India. The village depends on a single well that fills with water between the months of July and January to meet its water needs. Because of that, Kotambi faces a serious water crisis from February to June every year, according to the GoFundMe page.
