Microsoft Dynamics AX Team Highlights Use of SQL Server 2012 Features with AX 2012
With the official launch of SQL Server 2012 this week, the Microsoft Dynamics AX team has laid out some of the ways AX 2012 utilizes the latest database release, including improvements in performance and scalability, better visualization, and more self-service reporting.
AX 2012 will be able to take advantage of the new SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups to allow for some of the general benefits of high availability and failover, but also to improve reporting performance of from AX by turning to allowing ISVs to "leverage the read-only secondaries in SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups to offload some of the data warehousing needs to help reduce the load on the OLTP database."
