Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Talent reaches General Availability

Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Talent is now generally available to help organizations worldwide to, in the company's words, "strategically attract, retain and optimize their talent so they thrive and achieve high-impact, sustainable results."

Microsoft announced the technical preview version of the product at the beginning of June. At that time, Microsoft stated Dynamics 365 for Talent, designed for HR organizations, offered a "holistic approach to attracting, onboarding and growing talent."

"The GA product brings all three public preview applications into a single experience," according to blog post author Sivakumar. Those components are focused on attracting new talent, onboarding new hires, and HR.

Microsoft noted that because the HR component of Dynamics 365 for Talent is closely related to human resources in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations, Enterprise edition, overlapping functionality may appear in both products for some time.

Microsoft has stated that Dynamics 365 for Talent is aimed at allowing organizations to engage "digitally and professionally with candidates from first contact to offer acceptance and throughout their employee journey," beginning on LinkedIn and then via Office 365 and other Microsoft tools.

Dynamics 365 for Talent helps organizations streamline routine recordkeeping tasks and automate processes related to staffing, including employee retention, benefits administration, training, performance reviews and change management, according to company officials.

Dynamics 365 for Talent is one of the very first Microsoft business applications built to use the Common Data Service as a native back end for data management and storage.
