Add A D365 email notification type
Writing on his blog, Peter Ramer stated that many built-in Microsoft events automatically send emails.
In this post, Ramer explained in detail how to create a new email notification type in D365 F&O and connect it to an email template so an email is sent when a specific event happens.
He noted that instead of having a developer write custom code to send emails, adding an event allows organizations to use existing D365 F&O functionality.
Ramer wrote that this gives end users more control because they can decide whether emails should be sent for a specific event and choose which email template to use. In addition, he pointed out that the same batch job already used to send other system emails can also handle these new notifications.
Meet the Dynamics 365 Finance account reconciliation agent
An author writing on the Boyer Associates blog noted that many finance teams still spend the last days of each reporting period manually trying to find differences between subledger records and the general ledger. But Dynamics 365 Finance includes a built-in AI tool designed to solve this problem.
