D365 electronic signatures: One of the most underrated security features

Writing on his blog, Kurt Hatlevik stated that when people talk about security in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, the focus is usually on roles, permissions, segregation of duties, and access controls.

While he acknowledged that those are all important, he pointed out that people often overlook one built-in security feature: electronic signatures. Many companies don't even realize how valuable this feature can be, he noted.

Hatlevik explained that electronic signatures do more than require users to log in again before making sensitive changes. They also create a clear record of who made a change, when it was made, and why, adding greater accountability and traceability to ERP processes.

In his blog post, Hatlevik provided information about electronic signatures in D365 F&O.

On his blog, Vishal Tiwari wrote that recently, while he was working on a D365 Finance integration, he came across a requirement that looked simple on the surface but ended up becoming an interesting implementation of OData actions and deep links.
