Daily exchange rates, zero manual effort: D365 F&O + Logic Apps

Writing on her blog, Anitha Eswaran wrote that manually importing daily exchange rates into Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations can take time and lead to errors.

Exchange rates are often imported using a simple file-based process, she explained. But some situations can make the process more complicated. In a recent project, exchange rate files were sent to a secure file transfer (SFTP) location. However, once the files were imported, they could not be moved, archived, or deleted.

She noted that as a result, the SFTP folder contained both old and new files. The challenge was finding a way to make sure that only files uploaded that day were sent to D365 F&O for processing.

Eswaran pointed out that there are several ways to import exchange rates. In her post, she explained the approach she used to meet her client's requirements.

LCS to Power Platform admin center: Self-service environment migration is in public preview (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance)

On his blog, Vishal Tiwari wrote that Microsoft has introduced a public preview feature that lets D365 F&O users move management of their environments from Lifecycle Services (LCS) to the Power Platform admin center. The migration can be done one environment at a time.
