Missing menu item extensions during an upgrade to One Version

Mike Harshbarger explained on the Dynamics Consulting blog why users might have problems upgrading older versions of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations to One Version. The reason has to do with converting code overlays from the older versions to extensions and missing menu item extensions in the upgraded One Version release branch.

The fix is pretty easy, though, according to Harshbarger. Users don't even have to recreate those extensions in the new release branch. However, users could use Windows Explorer to copy the appropriate XML files from the old main branch to the upgraded release branch.

After following the steps to accomplish this, users will be able to check the menu item extensions into their release branches.
