Automatically starting and stopping D365 virtual machines

On the Dynamics Consulting blog, Michael Harshbarger commented on the hassle users had to deal with when their Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations development virtual machines stopped right just as they were about to start working.

Now you must find your way through Azure or LCS screens to find your dev VM, start it, and wait for it to fire up. Wouldn't it have been nice if that VM had started automatically right before the start of your day?

Alternatively, imagine what would happen if you forgot to shut down your demo VM or you didn't turn on the Azure auto shutdown feature – Microsoft would send your company a huge bill for Azure services.

Well, not to worry. Harshbarger stated that you can quickly and easily set up a schedule to stop and start those VMs with Azure Automation Accounts and Logic Apps.

You can find out how here.
