Why SQL4CDS record counts may not match Advanced Find for date filters (Dataverse/Dynamics 365)

Writing on his blog, Nishant Rana noted that while reviewing Dynamics 365 Field Service data, his team noticed that SQL4CDS and Advanced Find returned different record counts, even though they appeared to be using the same date filter.

He stated that, at first, this was confusing because both queries seemed to cover the same date range. However, after taking a closer look, they discovered that the difference was caused by how time zones are handled in user local date fields.

In his post, he explained what causes the mismatch, why it happens, and how to ensure SQL4CDS and Advanced Find return the same results.
