UsageCategory: what is it, and why is it important 

Writing on her blog, Tonya Bricco-Meske stated that when you're creating AL objects for Dynamics 365 Business Central using templates, you'll often notice many default properties. She pointed out that since these are part of the template, they're considered important. 

She noted that a common question from new developers is: "What is a UsageCategory, and why should we set it?"

In her blog, post Bricco-Meske wrote that the UsageCategory is a property used in pages, reports, and query objects, and she pointed out why it's important to set a UsageCategory.

She then explained how figure out the right UsageCategory to use.

Custom APIs and schemaversion 2.0

On his blog, Arend-Jan Kauffmann wrote that with D365BC wave 1 (v24) Microsoft changed the behavior of custom APIs that affected almost every API integration.
