Fall cleanup
Writing on his blog, Waldo, aka Eric Wauters, stated that many customers are switching to the latest version of D365BC, and he's excited to see everyone move to v25, especially because of the new "modern search" feature.
However, he noted that Microsoft knows about some issues and is working on fixes for future updates. Unfortunately, he pointed out that if you've already upgraded, you might need to clean up your database to keep it tidy.
For example, Wauters wrote that Microsoft recently added a "subscription billing" feature to D36BC that comes from an app they acquired. He stated that this feature is great for customers who need it, but here's the catch: Microsoft installed it automatically in all upgraded systems, even if it companies didn't need it. While you can remove the subscription billing app, it doesn't clean everything up. The real reason, he wrote, is that the new app goes to all companies in your environment. That data won’t be removed when you uninstall the app because it's data in default tables.
Wauters stated that Microsoft is working on a fix, but in the meantime he provides a list of actions that you can take to clean things up yourself.
