Optimizing Business Central reports with the DataAccessIntent property
Writing on his blog, Ammolh Saallvi stated that when you create reports in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, it's critical to ensure they run quickly and can handle large amounts of data.
He stated that this is especially true in cloud systems where slow performance can affect both speed and costs. Saallvi wrote that one useful but often ignored tool for improving report performance is the DataAccessIntent property, which tells the report how to access the database — either just to read data or read and write data.
Saallvi then explained what it means when you set DataAccessIntent = ReadOnly, and why this is important. He also explained when you should set DataAccessIntent = ReadWrite.
Everything about tables in Business Central
Writing on the Internet eBusiness Solutions blog, Alanna Friedberg noted that tables are a key part of how D365BC works. They store data from transactions and power the system's different functions.
