How do I manage and postpone BC updates in the admin center

Writing on his blog, Steven Renders stated that D365BC Release Wave 1 (version 28) is starting to roll out, and that is mostly fine.

He wrote that the bigger problem happens when Microsoft upgrades an environment and then later finds a serious issue in that version. When that happens, Microsoft pauses the rollout while it works on a fix, which can take days or longer.

Renders added that environments still running the older version stay safe, but environments that already upgraded are left dealing with the problem.

According to Renders, this isn't just theoretical as Microsoft paused the D365BC 28 rollout shortly after it began.

Renders then explained how to control update schedules in the admin center and why it is essential.

On his blog, Andy Wingate wrote that if you manage D365BC customers who use Entra B2B guest accounts, you've likely seen a common issue: the built-in email connectors don't work properly for guest users.
