Environment transfers Dynamics 365 Business Central

Writing on her blog, Kristen Hosman noted that a client was live on Dynamics 365 Business Central and wanted to move one specific company from one tenant to another.

However, Hosman wrote that one issue with the environment transfers process is that it moves the entire environment from one tenant to another, i.e., you can't select just one specific company within an environment to move.

Hosman stated that after thinking about the problem for a bit, she figured out how to do it: copy the production environment to a sandbox environment and then complete the environment transfer for the new sandbox environment.

Once the new environment is Active then I would copy the Sandbox environment to a Production environment. From there once the Production environment is Active, I would log in and delete the companies that are not needed in this new tenant.

In her blog post, Hosman provided step-by-step instructions on how to do this.

Lump sum bank deposit changes

On the Bond Consulting blog, Lupe Haro wrote that with the release of D365BC version 24, Microsoft has made some changes pertaining to when you enter a lump sum bank deposit.
