How to email posted sales shipments and return receipts in BC 2026 Wave 1

Writing on his blog, Saurav Dhyani stated that D365BC 2026 Wave 1 adds built-in email, PDF, and attachment support for posted sales shipments and posted return receipts.

Dhyani wrote that businesses often need to send customers more than invoices. They also need to send shipment confirmations when orders are shipped and return receipts when returned items are received.

He noted that before this update, users often had to print documents, export them manually, or use custom solutions. However, Dhyani pointed out that D365BC 2026 Wave 1 makes this easier by letting users email posted sales shipments and posted return receipts directly from the system.

The update also brings these documents in line with the existing email and document management features already available for posted invoices and credit memos.
