How to build an AI audit trail in Dynamics 365 Business Central
On the ERP SoftwareBlog, an author from Bluefort wrote that external auditors are starting to ask a new type of question during Business Central audits. In addition to transactions, they also want to know how the decision was made, whether it was made by a person or an AI agent, what rules and data the AI used, and whether a person reviewed and approved the decision before it was carried out.
Many finance teams using D365BC are not yet prepared to answer these questions with confidence, according to the author, because many of the AI tools they use were not built to provide this level of accountability.
In the blog post, the author explained what a proper AI audit trail looks like and how to make sure your D365BC environment creates one.
Who changed that record? One of my favorite new features in Business Central v28
Writing on her blog, Kim Dallefeld stated that D365BC v28 includes a new feature that displays avatars showing who created a record and who last modified it.
