NAV 2018 and Dynamics 365 Business Central: What to do when Rapidstart is too slow

On the Stefano Demiliani Technical Blog, Demiliani stated that recently someone asked a question about Rapidstart packages in NAV 2018.

Demiliani stated that he, as well as many other users and partners, have experienced a very slow data import with Rapidstart packages (no matter the number of records to import), especially if the database is quite large.

He stated that at one point he "unofficially" fixed this problem in his NAV 2018 databases and then reported the solution in some discussion forums. But since the question was asked recently, he decided to share the fix with everyone in a blog post.

Why [are] Rapidstart packages so slow in NAV 2018 compared to for example to NAV 2017? The problem is a new Integration event called ApiSetup defined in Codeunit 5465 - Graph Mgt - General Tools.

Using Excel integration in Dynamics NAV

On the Encore Business Solutions blog, Eunice Gan discussed how to turn on the integration between Dynamics NAV and Excel. The version that Gan used for the post was NAV 2018, but you can use any version of NAV that isn't web-based-which means this method won't work for Business Central.
