Changing protection level to boost performance

On his Confessions of a Dynamics NAV Consultant blog, Alex Chow wrote about boosting the client performance for full Windows or RTC clients for customers using Dynamics 365 Business Central.

The idea for the post came from a customer that was trying to reduce the lag for its users using the full Windows client.

One of the newer features in D365BC allows different connections to the data within NAV, which means security is a big problem because companies don't want random programs to connect to their financial data, according to Chow.
