App dependency tree – import your apps in the right order with PowerShell
On Waldo's Blog, Waldo (aka Eric Wauters) stated that recently someone asked him how to get a dependency tree from a number of Dynamics 365 Business Central apps. Put another way, the person wanted to know how to figure out which order he should import his apps to respect dependencies.
Well, I didn't have a ready-made script available. I only had a script my colleague provided me – so I took that as a starting point, and spent an evening in trying to put something together – as it IS a very interesting question ;-).
Although this wasn't a priority for his company's build and release pipeline, Wauters kept getting the question.
