The League of Women Voters selected a Microsoft Dynamics NAV package to run its finances, and said it has begun using the new system with excellent results. The selection by the 89-year-old nonpartisan political organization is a prestigious win for Dynamics NAV and for the Microsoft Gold partner that has been doing the work, AVF Consulting.

AVF used Serenic Navigator, an NAV-based software package developed by Serenic Software.

According to the League of Women Voters, the organization began its search last May for a replacement of its existing MAS 200 system. "Serenic Navigator enables us to integrate our core financial system with our member database, donor database, and other data silos, which has helped to increase overall efficiency," according to Greg Leatherwood, CFO for the League of Women Voters.

He added that the League of Women Voters has already begun to see improvements in its operational efficiency since completing implementation in July 2009. Serenic Navigator has improved the timeliness and accuracy of reports and has decreased the League's operating costs. "We have reduced the number of journal entries, streamlined our month-end closings, and our executives have greater confidence in our financial reports," said Leatherwood.
