For Lapsed Dynamics GP and NAV Customers, Microsoft Offers a New Promo to Get Back on Service Plans

There's good news from Microsoft for Dynamics GP and Dynamics NAV customers in the U.S. who have let their service plans lapse and as a result are running obsolete software.

Microsoft will waive the lapse and re-enrollment fees and penalties for GP and NAV customers with valid licenses whose associated Enhancement Plan lapsed before Nov. 10, 2010. Customers who want to take advantage of this Microsoft promotion must re-enroll in the Microsoft Dynamics Business Ready Enhancement Plan with a three-year commitment before April 22, 2011.

"Following the successful launch of Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 and the impending release of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 R2, Microsoft is working with its partners to encourage customers to take advantage of the many benefits these new releases have to offer," said David Smith, general manager, US Dynamics Partners, in an e-mail.

"Customers who are current on their Business Ready Enhancement Plans are entitled to these new versions, free of charge," he said. "For those customers who have lapsed, we are working to support our partners in constructing upgrade offers that are made up of the services required to implement the upgrade and the Business Ready Enhancement Plan that gives a customer access to it. We want to help all existing users of Dynamics NAV and GP to take advantage of our continued investment in R&D around these products."

This could be a pretty big deal for customers with lapsed service plans, according to Mariano Gomez, Managing Director, Maximum Global Business LLC and a Microsoft Dynamics GP MVP.
