KPMG and Microsoft expand strategic relationship, broadening use of Dynamics, cloud, data technology

Microsoft and KPMG are expanding their strategic relationship. An agreement announced today will broaden KPMG's use of a range of Microsoft technology for delivering data and analytics, cloud compliance and transformation, and business solutions.

From the announcement:

"The new strategic collaboration, based on Microsoft's Azure, Dynamics and data platforms, will allow Microsoft and KPMG member firms to work together to develop and deploy solutions and services that will help address the disruptive challenges topping the Board agenda today. These include realizing the business potential of one global, scalable platform which can deliver cloud-based solutions for Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Data and Analytics, which will collectively help transform the business while maintaining regulatory and compliance requirements."

KPMG also references its recent acquisition of Microsoft Dynamics VAR Crimsonwing, an approximately $30 million deal that is the basis for building a team of 350 Dynamics ERP and CRM experts in the UK and Netherlands. KPMG Crimsonwing will now be one of the four biggest Dynamics consulting and implementation services providers in Europe, officials said in February.

Bryan Cruickshank, KPMG's Global Head of IT Advisory, said in the statement:
