Joacim Damgard, Cindy Rose take on new Microsoft executive roles

Microsoft has named Joacim Damgard to be President of Microsoft in Western Europe. Damgard will succeed Cindy Rose in the role. Rose will be taking on a new role at Microsoft as Chief Operating Officer, Global Enterprise Sales, according to the company.
Rose took on the Western Europe leadership role in 2020 following Vahé Torossian, who left to become CVP for sales in Microsoft's Business Applications group. Torossian recently departed Microsoft.
Prior to being president of Western Europe, Rose had been Microsoft UK CEO and Area Vice President. Damgard's is currently President of Microsoft in Central and Eastern Europe. He joined Microsoft six years ago as the Country Manager for Sweden, according to the company.
Damgard will report to Microsoft EMEA President Ralph Haupter, according to Microsoft's announcement.
