Integrity Data acquires Sypnio SoftwareHCM and payroll software maker Integrity Data has acquired Sypnio Software, a startup ISV in the Microsoft Dynamics ERP space focused on Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting and compliance solutions.

Sypnio launched less than 18 months ago in February 2014 with the initial goal of helping organizations comply with reporting mandates of the Affordable Care Act for Dynamics GP. Founder Helen Karakoudas jump started the venture with the purchase of rights to IP from InterDyn LANAC.

Sypnio's software offers formatting for ACA's mandated employer reporting as well as business intelligence such as forecasting of employee eligibility for health care benefits and what-if analyses for critical decision-making to minimize the risk of a company's IRS penalties.

The company initially focused on the Dynamics GP user base, as MSDynamicsWorld.com reported in 2014. But Karakoudas tells us that changed in early 2015, and they now offer a range of options for companies on GP, with or without use of GP payroll:

"Right after one of our early adopters merged with a company not on GP, we developed an import utility that can pull in the employee data needed for ACA reporting from any payroll system -- whether that payroll system is part of another Microsoft ERP like AX, NAV or SL, or whether it's with NetSuite, Epicor, Acumatica or -- the list goes on.
