How dual write in Microsoft Dynamics 365 changes the picture for partners

by Eamon McCarthy Earls
Assistant Editor, MSDynamicsWorld.com

Microsoft recently introduced "dual write", an event-based framework that lets users integrate Dynamics 365 for Finance and Dynamic 365 Supply Chain Management (formerly Finance and Operations, or D365FO) with the Common Data Service.

The dual write model will replace today's Data Integrator platform, which can automate the flow of data between D365FO and the D365 Customer Engagement apps for use in specific business processes like "prospect to cash", field service, and project service.

Scott Frappier, a pre-sales architect at Microsoft partner Stoneridge Software spoke with MSDW and shared his perspectives on the new capability and what it means for the partner channel.
