How to configure product labels for retail in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3

October 7 2014

In this article we will look at how Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 can be configured to generate and print product labels for retailers. Retailers can place the labels directly on the products that they sell in stores or on the container that contains the products. Labels contain information like product bar code, expiration data, serial or batch numbers, price etc. AX gives companies the ability to generate the product labels automatically whenever the price is changed for a product; but this automatic generation can also be disabled.

Yes, you can customize this report just like any other SSRS report in AX.

The printer is setup on server and connected via ethernet. Trying to print labels for a Starbucks facility. The printer prints the label, but will continue printing same label, will not print new label. Have to turn off printer or disconnect from ethernet before the printing stops. Then when turn back on the printer continues to print same label. Spoke with epson and everything is set correctly there, said it was a microsoft setting and to contact. Also, trying to print 1 label per drink even if the order has more than one drink on receipt. Currently this is set to print per transaction, not drink. Need to know where these setting s can be changed.
