Getting to Know the HRM Self Service Suite for Microsoft Dynamics GP Business Portal

So, let's say you have installed Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics GP and you're taking advantage of its benefits but you are struggling to explain the value of  deploying the HRM Self Service Suite for your users.

At a recent online meeting of the Dynamics GP User Group, Joseph Tews from Agri-Cover Inc. shared some insights into the HRM (Human Resources Management) Self Service Suite.  The suite consists of a collection of web-based applications that are accessible from within Business Portal for Microsoft Dynamics GP and allow employees to view certain HR and payroll information. Employees can update their personal information, enter timecards, submit vacation requests, and complete other related tasks. Additionally, managers can approve timecards, modify their employees' pay rates, and complete other administrative tasks.

Another great feature of the HRM Self Service Suite is the ability for managers to view & request changes to subordinate employees. The change request includes configurable workflow as well. Just my 2 cents :-)
