Focus EMEA Preview: Why Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Retail is more important than ever

Historically, the retail module in Dynamics AX and D365 for Finance and Operations has always seemed somewhat siloed from the rest of the functionality. There are Trade and Logistics and Finance resources who, in the past, didn’t need to know too much (or in depth) about the retail-specific components such as the pricing engine (in both the POS and in AX!), simulator, retail transaction framework, payment processing, item kitting, etc.  While that was somewhat true in previous versions, in the current and future versions, everyone is going to need to know that functionality.

As the demand for these capabilities has grown, there has also been a specific drive for retail content, which is great as its always a topic that I enjoy sharing information about. That's why I’m excited to be presenting at Focus EMEA London this year on a range of retail topics.

I have four sessions that I’ll be participating in, ranging from deep dives to an overview to a panel discussion. The overview session will offer a holistic look at Dynamics 365 for Retail for those that are evaluating the new retail solution or just curious about what it is. Any and all questions are welcome! For the Ask the Experts panel, I’ll be joining a few of my friends to discuss questions, issues, etc in an open forum.

The ‘Leveraging Excel for Reporting and Data Manipulation’ deep dive session will be focused on retail-specific forms and data but will highlight concepts across all the functionality.  Everyone knows how to export to Excel, but there are limitations, tips and tricks, common uses in retail, and other considerations users need to understand.
